Not sure if this has been posted yet, but here's a video of a freaking insane song on GH3. I lke that they've added the on-screen note streak info.
http://gamerkonnection.com/blog/?p=116 Also, the comic underneath the video is kinda funny. |

There's actually a separate thread that has become the semi-official GH3 thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...=1#Post10533461 |

Ah yeah, I was thinking that might be it, but it didn't really seem to be the official #3 thread, at least by title.

I have some general newbie questions
What exactly is the input for an HO/PO? Like notes A and B are next to each other, you hit note A and strum, and then hit and hold B, and then it counts only when you release A? Any good passages where I can practice this? Do people consistently strum up and down even in the slow parts? The only time I do it is during a bunch of the same note in a row coming fast. I have stubby little fingers, how screwed am I when I get to hard+? I am working on 5 starring all of medium and doing OK. Why is there so few master tracks? They bought the rights to the songs, why not use them, or at least use the vocals? |

Billian dollar babies has a good hammer on part right at the beginning of expert, kinda fast though. I don't have the biggest hands, but I'm fc'ing through the experts atm, fc'd 9 or 10. Just play a lot and eventually you'll get the groove.

Similarly when you're descending you can start my holding both notes, and then just let go of B and A will play automatically. Some songs to practice HOPOs on are Jessica, LTMR, and Freebird. A lot of players, including myself, do it this way. [ QUOTE ] I have stubby little fingers, how screwed am I when I get to hard+? I am working on 5 starring all of medium and doing OK. [/ QUOTE ] I have the same problem. All I can suggest is that you use your ring and pinky as much as you can. [ QUOTE ] Why is there so few master tracks? [/ QUOTE ] I really have no idea what was up with the slim amount of masters on GHII but thank god GH3 is mostly master tracks. |

fk I've totally plateaued at hard difficulty, some of these songs just seem ridiculously insane to get good scores on, I could practice the intro to carry me home a million times and never 100% it. And institutionalized GOD. I can pass most songs on the 1st-3rd try but actually getting 95%+ is going to be ridiculous. blah annoying.
