I like Well, but most people don't know how to cook a Well steak. A Well steak is NOT cooked on a hot, open flame. A Well steak is slow cooked, so it gets cooked all the way through, doesn't end up burnt on the outside and stays juicy on the inside.
It takes a while to correctly cook Well steak. |

[/ QUOTE ] Most people don't know it, but slow-cooked well done steak like that is actually quite delicious. Good for pork chops too, and fish. You cook it at like 300 degrees for 30-45 minutes depending on thinkness. However, you will never ever get that out at a restaurant so far as I know, and if you order a well steak at a restaurant they take the oldest steak, or a steak that someone else sent back, and they just char it, spit on it, rub it on the ground, and laugh at you when they serve it. |

BTW I hate how some restaurants try to show how cool they are by undercooking everything, so like Rare is almost raw, medium rare is what "rare" should be, etc.
Yeah genius, bringing me steak that's not what I wanted is so freaking hip. |

[/ QUOTE ] I am glad they finally do this. I have been tired of ordering a RARE steak and getting it cooked medium rare to medium. I like my steaks blue. I usually pull them off the grill at what would be an internal temperature of 117 degrees.... That is perfec t for me. |
