These threads are totally over dramatic. I've been a live pro for five years now, and I've heard of 3 stories, all from the Commerce, and not one of them was robbed in the parking lot.

There was a problem with people getting followed home, it happened to two white chip limit players, a friend of mine got robbed across the street at the gas station when he stopped, and as you now know, you should NEVER stop anywhere near Commerce, just get on the freeway and go home.

I dont think most of the people in this thread fit the criteria (i.e enough money to be worth the risk) to be robbed, but if you carry enough money to be robbed, than valet, valets at every casino is directly out front of the casinos main entrances and all casinos have security guards posted at the front doors. And if you have enough money to worry about getting robbed, you should have enough money to pay for valet, and if you dont, you deserved to be robbed.

When you drive home find a route where when you get towards your house its a long narrow street and make sure no one is following you, be very catious, its not hard.

Eh... two words PLAYERS BANK. It a safe place for me to keep my money and also provides a record of my w/l. I just never really liked walking around with 2K+ in my pockets.

Srsly though... Bringing anything other than a gun to a gun fight is horrible advice and will most likely get you killed. If you aren't willing to ignore laws that disarm you and enable criminals to have their way with you then get a security escort. Their job is protecting the casino's interests which includes keeping gamblers safe. Short of that, just give them the [censored] money. Its just money.

There's a game I like to play called Civilization IV and when it starts up it gives tips. The one that always has me chucking is this:

"Never bring a knife to a gunfight."

I guess being a young black male has its advantages sometimes. I don't think many people would target someone that stereotypically looks like they could be a gang member or affiliated, carrying a weapon on them as well, and may fight back.

I consider Hawaiian Gardens my home casino because it's the closest to my house. I live about 5 minutes away (roughly about 3 miles) and pretty much know most of the Vato's that live across the street (HG isn't the best neighborhood - a detective was shot in the face and killed a few years ago while knocking on a door) As I'm leaving the casino I take my usual back-way exit by the school(anybody who goes to HG knows which exit I'm talking about) and i see headlights at the end of the street - roughly 1/4 mile away. I never drive the same way home 2 times in a row in case someone is following me. I make my usual two wrong turns and this van is still following me. Finally I'm pulling up to a light and at the last second I jump into the left hand turn lane and the van does the same move. I know now that this guy is following me to do what I am assuming is a follow home robbery (I'm not a high limit player so I know they weren't watching me cash out - well if they did they gotta be the worst robbers ever) Then talk about hitting a 1 outer a cop passes thru the intersection and pulls into the 711 on the corner. When the light turns green I duck into the 711 and the van keeps going past me and turns into a residential neighborhood. I pull up to the cop and tell him whats going on and watch him go drive down the neighborhood and I see the van take off once the cop had driven past it. I then wait for the cop to come back and give me an escort home. First time I've ever been thankful to see a cop.
