Never understood the hooker thing. My first thought is desperation, but this guy seems to prefer it. I'm wondering what makes him go for the hooker over a bar chick. I doubt it's just safety. Why a hooker over a slutty ex? Or is it just acceptance that he can't get a bar chick and has no slutty ex's?

I can see a few reasons why one would prefer a hooker over a bar chick-- guaranteed sex, some reasonable guarantee of quality of performance and cleanliness, no potential melodrama afterward, no BS, etc.

I think the reason why most people go to hookers is pretty obvious. there is a demand for sex and they are the lowest cost provider often. and not necessarily in terms of $ lowest cost but in terms of effort. wearing sweat pants, haven't worked out in weeks, have spinach in your teeth, and not interested in talking about your respective life stories with some girl?
