hilarious clip
gordon is a funny guy...for someone who's not a real broadcaster he's done a pretty good job. Normally you can't get a combo from an announcer who is knowledgeable about the game and entertaining.

I hear tho he does have a big ego. If you read the Negreanu post when he is filming for Play Like the Pros. Gordon, Hellmuth, and Matusow get in this ego contest. I also read from Matt Dean's blog (guy who got 6th or 7th 2 years ago at the WSOP) how Gordon was belittling him in an arrogant manner.

After 42 episodes, he probably has enough to start up as a poker comedian. There was some midget woman (I mean, celebrity...) on one of the shows who turned the nut straight (board not paired, no flush possibilities) and folded after a small bet. Ah, midgets playing poker...

I am sure he has an ego, most self made guys do.

At the book signing some one said there is no reason to watch CSP now, he shrugged his shoulders and said something like "that is what my agent and I told them too"

As a person I can only judge by what I have seen. Complete gentleman online on fulltilt and when he used to play on UB.

At the book signing the line to get his sig was huge, so I asked someone to take a picute of my in front of the podium with him in the background. When he saw the camera he stopped signing and got to put his arm around me for a photo. Very cool.

This is stupid. Hellmuth will go on tilt when he watches how bad the celebrities are.

Bob,

What on earth makes you think Gordon wanted to leave the show?

Phil Gordon mentioned at his book signing (I think this is the same signing where the audio clip is from) that he was producing a new show where average players would qualify to play against him in a sit and go. In between hands there would be instructional content about how the hands were played.

It sounded like a great show, I hope he gets it off the ground.

Because Kids In The Hall is behind only Monty Python as the funniest TV series of all time...?

But I have a feeling you may get your wish - it didn't seem like Dave Foley was having all that much fun himself last season ("...if I cared about poker...") and the reality "stars" just about made him swallow his tongue (I'd have a hard time being in the same room with Johnny Overplayed without punching him too).

My idea: Hellmuth and a wrestling announcer. And maybe a monkey.

I can't believe it took him this long to get outta there... his podcasts during the wsop last year were pretty cool and I always thought that doing this celebrity stuff made him seem like a clown... always having to force a laugh at lame jokes like some big goofball... brutal

does anyone actually watch that show anyway... my gf got me to watch a few episodes when it first started... celebs fer her poker fer me... that didn't last long
