does he have a portugese passport? obviously they wouldn't have signed him if they didn't think that they would be able to pull off the work permit, but nothing has even been said about him being capped by the senior squad

eh, none. David Gill seems pretty confident that we'll have him before the season starts. I hope that there is a back up plan incase it doesn't work out (and I hope that back up plan's name isn't jermaine defoe)

Too much junk involved in this deal. My personal thoughts, he stays at West Ham, or he moves to Spain. West Ham could be pretty sexy next year if he stays there.
