My buddy (hero) was trying to validate his call of the flop raise to 300 as being correct by pot odds.
I told him I thought that was BS and just an excuse to stay in a hand he should have never been in. When villain raises to 300 here, it's time to fold. To call commits almost 25% of his stack, and he's got a bottom pair, and no kicker. Also, with 2 cards to come, what's he looking for? There's too few ways his hand can improve, and even, any improvement is going to be of marginal value in this spot.

It just didn't make sense to me, and I think he's overall a decent player. Maybe I'm just not good at explaining concepts, but his refusal to admit he played this hand poorly has really vexed me.
