Sherman you know I love to cbet but stacks are kind of awkward to for bet/folding so even I don't usually do it here, check flop. But what is our action if the flop is checked through?

I'd check the turn as well.

Betting here folds a lot of hands we're beating that will let us keep pot control. If you have a good knowledge of your table and you see him take a stab on the flop, use reads to know whether or not you should be C/Rai bluffing here.

But betting out here is bad. Betting out anywhere is bad unless you spike a Q on the turn, imo.

My prefered line(s).

1) Check/call the flop. Check/fold the turn depending on bet size/knowledge of opponent, etc.

2) Check/check the flop. Check/call the turn. Check/call the river.

3) Check/check the flop. Check/check the turn. Value bet the river.

I think all of these are good so long as a K doesn't hit which might change things.

Sherman, I hate to be one for what-ifs....but

Scenario 1:
Check/Check flop
Kh on Turn. CO leads out 650. Hero ???

Scenario 2:
Check/Check flop
Jh on Turn. CO leads out 650. Hero ???

What do you think on these situations?

I'd almost never consider folding in scenario 2 (we have the Qh right?) and I'd be much more likely to consider folding scenario 1 (but not if we have the Qh).

Edit: I don't think I can fold the nut flush draw even with a paired board.

We do indeed have Qh. That's why I'm thinking these over :P.

Thanks to all for your feedback.

I actually checked on the flop and villain checked behind.

The turn card was as below.

I don't want to drag this out longer than the hand deserves, but now that I have a draw to the 2nd best flush, what's my action?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero (t1620)
UTG (t1280)
UTG+1 (t1430)
MP1 (t3360)
MP2 (t1280)
MP3 (t1540)
CO (t1510)
Button (t790)
SB (t890)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
5 folds, CO raises to t120, 2 folds, Hero raises to t480, CO calls t360.

Flop: (t975) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

argh! this messes with my head. look at the pot size, can we define our hand without being pot committed? I think now the flush card has come we cant get away from it and we just shove em in now. If it had come a non flush card, thats the one I couldnt handle. Id want to lead to prevent him representing the ace with a bet we cant call due to stack sizes, can we bet say 350, leaving us with what, 800? and shut down completly if hes still there? I suppose we can with the blinds being so low.

Whats this guys range? being a 4/180 and with the stuff ive seen going on, id say something like...

A8s+, A10o+, 66+, KQs. I think all these without reads in a 4/180 can and will call a reraise from the button.

If hes not a retard? AQs+ 1010+.

With the Qh I reckon Id take a chance at a double up, although i personally think he'll have a big ace.

Without doing all the math, Im pretty certain that if 1010 and JJ are in his range along with KK, AQ and AK, and he DOESNT have the Kh, this is massively +EV and we can shove all day.

If hes a decent player, we might even fold KK if theres no Kh involved, which would be nice.
