Default NL100: Flopped 2 pair but sandwiched myself in awkward spot

I've been lurking for quite awhile but I finally have enough ambition to be an active forum participant.

Anyway, UTG is a very solid TAG and CO is 32/13/4 over 110 hands.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $214.75
Hero (BB): $101.85
UTG: $117.00
MP: $155.75
CO: $110.30
BTN: $283.80

Preflop: Hero is dealt T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG raises to $3.50, MP folds, CO calls $3.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $2.50

Flop: ($11) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 Players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $7.00, CO raises to $44.00, Hero ???

Swear, fold, move on to the next hand.

Your hand looks nice, but there's a good chance that you could be drawing dead or to 4 outs.

If you push, no worse hands call. If you call you're out of position and having to c/f virtually any turn.

So yeah, fold.

if your ahead u are prob no more than a coin flip now until the river. any diamond 7\8\9\10\j\q\k\ace can really help them so probs a fold imo.

Checkraising the flop is bad here bc your hand is only semi-strong on this board and you will be oop in a huge pot on a ton of really [censored] turncards. However cc also sucks. So bet the flop.

As played I guess I fold but I hate it and would probably call in reality.

Whatever you do dont just call. Half the deck is bad for our hand. If you feel that there is a great chance villain plays top pair or combodraws fast here, push.

Folding is probably the best (/safest) play, since you are either way behind or just slightly ahead.

Edit- Also by villain I mean CO. I believe that UTG would have potted it if he had a set on this drawy board.

thanks for the input all.

I agree that leading out the flop is optimal. I really wasn't trying to trap as much with the check/raise as much as trying to evaluate where I stood in the hand.

As played, you guys are right:
Fold > Push > Call
