Frankly, I'm surprised the poker segment of WSEX lasted as long as it did in its "rake-free" state. I thought it was great, and for a while it was the only place I played, but I became bored with the lack of game selection.

What some of you don't seem to get is that the poker segment of WSEX was started as an add-on to their sportsbook business. By offering "rake-free" poker they hoped to increase traffic with additional revenues being realized via the sportsbook. The poker segment was not really started as a stand-alone , for-profit venture as some of you assume (and I think Fred has mentioned this). By reducing the amount of rake-back to the players it seems they are now going to try to inject some of the rake revenue back into the poker segment in hopes of growing it. I hope it works, and I'll return to play poker there if it does. Regardless, I'll continue to use WSEX as my primary sportsbook.
