I thought all games had $100 cap on the buy in? [/ QUOTE ] The lawyers in Florida are about to get rich... it was one very poorly written law. The exact wording says, "The maximum required buy-in can not exceed $100." In other words... the minimum buy-in can not exceed $100. |

[/ QUOTE ] But the analysis of the Bill clears everything....even though that was poorly written as well. Section IV #3 of HB 1377 on page 5 http://www.flsenate.gov/data/session...h1377f.PBC.pdf "....allows the game of no bet limit Texas Holdem with a maximum allowed buy-in of $100" I was told this is what they fall back on. |

I played less than 3 hours tonite at the Palm Beach Kennel Club. They added a tournament room upstairs that apparantly hosted 390 players for a NLHE tourney with a $16K first. Couldn't tell you the buy in or the rake.
I played about two hours of straight $5 O8. 6 handed almost the entire time and 4-6 to a flop almost always. I scooped once, won a high and quartered a low to end up +$12. |

Ooops, hit continue by accident...
I'll leave the O8 bad beat stories for another time, like maybe never. Sat at an open 1-2NL table. They made the button post another $2 for whatever reason. PF raises from $7 to $18, 4 to 6 to a flop. I was the iddy biddy stack with the $100 buy-in; most others had $200 to $800 in front. I played just one hand where my AQo ended up all in to tie a maniac LAG on my immediate right. I saw him call $12 pre-flop with Jd5d UTG to make a rivered flush on a turned K-high Broadway board against two others. They both mucked their Aces in disgust. |

Vox I havent read this whole thread so someone might have answered for you. Hard Rock does not have chips higher than $5 as of yet. Cash is playable on the big NL tables only $100 bills though. They have a large order for $25, $100, $500 and some $5000 chips (dont know why you need a $5K chip). This is what all the dealers are saying there. All I can say is there were a ton of red birds on the 10-25 NL tables. Yes tables they were spreading 2.

Wasn't able to go....but I found out through a freind that did go , that Daytona chose NOT to spread the NL game. They want to wait until after the 'Meeting' that is scheduled for the end of the month that will give them guidlines to follow.
Anybody have a report on Melbourne or any others that are doing the same precaution? I saw that Best Bet was spreading NL. Wouldn't be surprised if Daytona was the only one in the dark!!! |

I plan on stopping in the room in Melbourne this evening. I will be sure to post a list of games later tonight or first thing in the morning.

Sorry I need to post a hand I saw in the 2-5 NL at HR. Short stack raises to $15 the guy who is catching everything and running like a Kenyan raised to $40 then Button calls. Short stack pushes for $95 more. Lucky donk calls and button repushes for $187 more. Lucky donk calls.
Short stack shows (QQ) Lucky donk shows (AK) Moron button shows (KJ) yes it was SOOOTEED flop turn and river all low unsuited. QQ wins and AK still wins money almost $200. This guy was running so well he could lose a hand and still make money. I was dying inside with laughter after seeing a repush with KJ suited. |

I just talked to Daytona again today. They say they are still awaiting "word" from their lawyers/and the State. Wow, they suck so bad, but whatever. What's the closest NL game from the Daytona area?
