What (exactly) does choosing to follow christ mean if you're raised a christian? And what made you become more serious about religion?

Why do you find it so hard to answer questions about evolution, Adam & Eve and the age of the universe directly, and instead resort to humor and deflection? Surely you should stand up for your beliefs, whatever they are?

C'mon guys, obviously he doesn't know what they are and hasn't thought about it a lot, so how is he going to tell you? He's all over the map when he's open on stuff, and when he's out of his depth, he closes up. If you're looking for consistency and coherence, you came to the wrong place. There's nothing surprising about that.
