Default Re: Dealt vs Contributed Rakeback

[ QUOTE ]
Fish don't even know what contributed/dealt means. Also, new fish to the site will be getting back more each week, but they don't have anything to compare it to. They'll be happy getting anything back. Fish also don't understand tight vs loose games. They play their own cards, not the other players and they don't care about table dynamics.

[/ QUOTE ]
This is an arrogant and counter productive attitude that is commonplace among winners especially on this site.

'Fish' are not all stupid, they just have different motivations for playing. It may be hard to believe but some people who have real world high paying jobs and play poker for fun actually don't want to play sit and fold poker. Just because they are prepared to lose doesn't mean they enjoy it, especially when their money goes to tight players.

Also, these people pay you to play poker. The least you can do in return is give them a bit of respect.

The benefits from contributed don't come from any marketing value but from actual changes to money flow:
the penalty for playing loose is reduced
looser plays lose less or win more than before
the games become looser
the games become more attractive to recreational players.

None of this means that wpex will suddenly take off but it's still the way to go, I feel.
