I just played the $10, 5k added tournament. The structure is fast, but that is to be expected for a 10 dollar tourney, and the 5k really juices up the prizepool. The only problem I had with the tournament was stalling on the bubble. I had a decent sized stack but there were 6 or 7 short and medium stacks. When the bubble came, nearly all the short stacks began to completely run their clock down every decision time. This lost me a lot of EV because I wasn't able to steal as much. Perhaps switching to hand for hand at the bubble could help alleviate the problem. (I know hand to hand is really slow, but I think it's the lesser of two evils)

By the way, I deposited via moneygram and everything went smoothly. Had the money in my account in less than 2 hours from the time I sent it.

....Also, I have a bug to report. I have had a few random hands which were automatically checked for me. The first couple of times, I thought I must have accidentally highlighted the Check button before my turn. They were inconsequential hands where I didn't plan to bet anyway, so I didn't think too much of it. But most recently, when I was last to act on the river and somehow auto-checked down the nuts, I realized it was definitely a software problem.

i asked this about a month ago.. happens to me about once a day. just wait until it auto folds you when bet into with the nuts.

Thanks so much to WSEX for the tourney tonight. To have a "big" (by their standards) tourney and guarantee a MINIMUM 100% overlay (which ended up being quite a bit more than that) is completely awesome. I hope that whatever you hoped to get out of tonight's tourney happened for you and we get some more of these.

A minor suggestion. Most of your tourneys last ~2hours or less, so no break isn't that big of a deal. If you plan on implementing more of these, though, a break would be appreciated. Also, I don't normally mind your 10-minute levels. Much bigger than your norm, though (like tonight,) I'd really like to see 15 minute levels.

Thanks again for regularly adding money to the poker economy.

Too late for this year of course, but how about some WSOP steps type tournaments like Party do?

Everyone likes a cheap shot at the big time, and if you make it fee free word might get round. You just need to make sure you cover your costs and you have nothing to lose.

From memory, the Party structure is:

$8 sub qualifier and top 10% go through to:

$60 qualifier and top 10% go through to:

a weekly qualifier ($600) in which Party guarantee 4 seats but it could be 1 seat for every X players and if the minimum entries to cover 1 seat isn't met the tourney could either roll-over or pay cash prizes.

In fact, to be a bit different how about running qualifiers to events other than the Main Event? I don't know of any sites that offer qualifiers to other WSOP events.
