One thing that noted in the other thread before it went was that the person in question seemed to have an eMando account - can't remember the name though.

eMando itself is a legitimate programme (found at emando.net) and they might be interested to know someone is using them (possibly) to help launch a phishing attack. They may have extra info that may aid any authorities (and FTP) in their investigations.

..or maybe not ...but I thought it was worth mentioning.
