I have a live bankroll which is separate from my online bankroll. I just play live for fun, all my serious play is online (or was, with my job I'm barely playing at all online these days and my once a week live game is the majority of my play) so my original plan was simply to play live out of my wallet. But then I decided that was crazy since I'd never know whether I was winning or losing.

So I have a small wad of cash for my live roll. I don't keep a cumualitive total, I just jot down how much I won or lost each session.

So this morning as I'm putting away my winnings from last night my wife says, "hey, how much do you have in there?" I'm not sure, I say, somewhere around xxxx," "Oh, c'mon she says, you write it all down you have to know exactly how much you have." "Nope," I say, "I haven't been adding it up."

So she takes it and counts it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was about 300 bucks more than I had guessed (hey, don't snicker high rollers, that's 3 buy-ins for my low stakes game).

At least I was pleasantly surprised until my wife said, "Soooo, how much of this can I have?..."

Aw F*ck!
