Not nearly enough barbacoa love going on in this thread. [/ QUOTE ] hmmm, barbacoa is so [censored] good. In fact I don't think I've gotten anything but barbacoa in the last year. I hate vegetables so my burritos are pretty boring: double meat sour cream cheese green tabasco rice |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I am a lover of all Mexican fare and I went to Chipotle for the first time ever last week (downtown Bellevue, WA near the Safeway). It was absolutely terrible. The chips I got were so incredibly over-salted that I threw them out. The tacos were nothing special. Maybe it was just this location? Honestly, I wanted to like it but it was crap compared to the Baja Fresh next door. On a side note, I send much thanks out to whoever it was who recommended Jimmy John's for sandwiches. The gargantuan J.J. will make a cardiologist rich some day. Pufchamp. [/ QUOTE ] Why the [censored] were you eating the tacos? It's a damn burrito place. The tacos are for the girls that can't handle a big burrito. [/ QUOTE ] I thought a Mexican restaurant might have good tacos. I was wrong. I usually go chicken burrito and went a little crazy. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] 1) 4) To the guy who thinks he's special for eating at Chipotle 2-3x a week -- you're not alone, bud. There have to be a ton of regulars, especially at lunchtime at locations near major office complexes. [/ QUOTE ] I'm not saying I'm special for going there often, but I'm quite sure I'm one of there most common customers and I have never once had them recognize me in any way. I mean, at this point I would recognize any of their employees if they were walking down the street (except for the ones that always work in the back). FWIW, one of my other friends used to go to Quizno's a lot, and after a couple months of going there about as often as I went to Chipotle, at least 3 of the employees recongnized him, and 1 of the employees would start making his order the second he walked in the door. Plus they wouldn't charge him for the double meat. I love Chipotle's food, but I have always always said their service is way under par. [/ QUOTE ] Maybe you're just an [censored]. |

SHIP IT [/ QUOTE ] They did this in Denver a few weeks ago. They also had a can drive where any non-perishable food item would buy anyone a free burrito. The lines were crazy. Apparently business is good. |

Unbelievable. I went again last night and said in a clear voice: "Steak burrito with pinto beans please," and two seconds later she says "Black bean?"
How f'ing braindead do you have to be to be incapable of remembering two simple things for less than 5 seconds? And at lunch I had gone to Cosi and ordered a Cosi Club and got god knows what instead. The level of competence of fast food workers has become astonishingly low. About 10 years ago you could at least expect a clerk to have some basic proficiency in English. Now you might as well try communicate in clicks and whistles cause nobody speaks English anymore. |

Their food isn't very good either. We have a place here in NY called Moe's Southwestern food or something, it's MUCH better. Even the ghetto burrito place on the corner where I live in Philly is MUCH better than Chipotle's.

meh, the same thing happens to me at subway constantly. I have gone to the same place regularly for years, know all the guys thta work there by name, and I still have to say "no lettuce, no pickles" 500 times and they still mess it up at least 1 out of 5 times and put pickles on my sandwich.
