My range against a bad player is slightly tighter and changes in the first level with every relevant action. If he's 3-bet me 3x in the first level I'll open up a 4-bet range, if he hasn't done it over 15 hands I'll tighten up my calling/4-bet range. It's really very player dependent. If you're talking first hand, JTs isn't a bad hand to call with, but if you don't flop something very strong and the player is playing the hand very aggressive it's going to make postflop tough.
