it is pretty ridiculous that she said the things she did and asked you to leave. It is actually pretty disgusting. In my experience, these drunken games provide dealers with 2-5x there normal tips and provides good publicity for whichever pokerroom you;re playing in. I guess it is better to choose 2nd tier poker rooms for this kind of thing. Never hand any problem at TI, Hilton, Hooter's. In fact, never had a probelm at the Wynn either, which in the past, has been a viable option to host a drunken poker game.

I think it's all been said. Basic summary...
Katherine's mistake was including "people playing for much higher stakes than you guys" in her request. She shoulda just kept it short and simple. OP's mistake was pretty much EVERYTHING that happened after this. I am a bit curious about the appearance of security. Did she ask OP to leave and he refused? I very rarely see poker floors call for security until it's clear they need them. If they feel threatened or feel like other folks are in physical danger, or eventually if their request that a player exit is refused, sure. But it's pretty rare for the goons to just suddenly appear and that to be the first time the player hears "you need to leave". So it feels like there MIGHT be a bit more to the original story, too. |
