[ QUOTE ]
Pete, I tried to listen to napalm death a few times, but I can't say I like their music. Their records suck and their tunes aren't that special. Maybe because I'm younger than you and from a 'new' generation of metal. I will go see them in the summer that may change my mind. [/ QUOTE ] What album have you tried? ND back catalogue is huge and some albums aren't that great. Of the latest releases I'd recommend The Code Is Red...Long Live The Code, but Order Of The Leech and Smear Campaign are very good also. Of the old albums I really love Scum and From Enslavement To Obliteration, but compared to todays grind standards those aren't heavy at all. Funny to think that when those albums came out ND was considered the most extreme band out there. They are also great live band. It's fun to hear them play Suffer The Children at double speed compared to the album version. [ QUOTE ] I don't really know why I like nasum better than pig destroyer, they both are on top of the grindcore genre imo. Nasum did have their own style in the genre by making political lyrics that made them stand out for me. Each his own I guess. I had the chance to see Rotten Sound, but they were the opener of Bolt Thrower, a band that isn't that worthwhile live. So I passed, damn shame. [/ QUOTE ] Many grind bands have political lyrics. Grind evolved from punk after all. You missed a lot passing a chance to see Rotten Sound live. One of the best live bands out there. NP: Napalm Death - Warped Beyond Logic |
