No, walked home. I live in the town for the next 6 weeks til I move.

My recollections of the conversation aren't perfect, but he asked me what I was doing, I made up some story about feeling sick and then he found the "evidence". He asked if there was anything else I wanted to say, so admitted it, spun a story about at least it wasn't on the street or doorway and that I went behind a wall so I wasn't "exposing" myself. They checked I wasn't wanted for anything and took my name and address.

Variance: I was about 200 yards from home!
