First time going to vegas. Questions about hotels on the strip...

it's not that hot in october.... i was there once in late october and it was actually cold. probably the best time of year to walk around.

Just to be clear, we are not going to be doing a poker room rate. I am more just interested in the quality of rooms of these hotels as well as best location of the bunch to both play poker and "do vegas" since this will be our first time.

QFT. The Wynn feels like a island due to its location.

I always recommend the Mirage to people going to Vegas for the first time. I think it's good value, in a good spot and is a fun hotel. Caesars is also a lot of fun.
