Sucks that Stephen A is the guy who got to do this interview.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why is that? I thought the interview was done very well.

Because Stephen A is awful, so when gets credible stuff like this and the T-Mac interview, he gets to stick around.

Drew,

So you basically thing Kobe is lying in that interview?

"Sure, Shaq and I had our issues," Bryant told Smith. "So what! We always did and we won three titles. That doesn't change what was told to me. It doesn't change the fact I never, ever, said to get rid of him."

this could end up being 1 of the best off seasons as far as trading players is concerned in recent history. I am exited to see what happens now.

So Kobe has been fine with the perception that he ran Shaq out of town for all this time, and just now wants it to be known that he had nothing to do with it?

I have a really hard time believing this

would the Lakers consider trading him to Portland/Seattle for their upcoming pick + bloated salaries? I know the Blazers have a couple worthless large expiring contract guys, what about Seattle?

Seattle might be willing to do this, I dont think Portland does. I think Seattle is probably a better fit for what that trade would amount to than Oden anyways. I think its very doubtful that either of these happen though.

Now that he's asked to be traded he doesn't have to worry about stepping on anyone's toes in the Lakers organization.
