With a controlled number of posters ala El D forum, doesn't that exclude some High Stakes Tourney players from posting who are not MTT regulars, but may want to post in such a forum?

I'm thinking of High Stakes cash guys who play $10K events because it only costs their usual buy-in, or pros who don't post a lot, but may if the forum exisited.

Don't get me wrong Justin, I think you did a good job in going against your first instinct and listening to others, but I think the exclusive poster list will shut out the type of guys we would want to post who currently don't and would be missed.

Glad its split though....thanks!

Darcy,
Guys like Temp Hutter and the like who don't post often will be included. If a 10k buyin regular wants to discuss something they need only PM me and I will get them in. I don't think that should happen very often. But I do foresee an influx of big names coming to the forum as it will *hopefully* evolve into the #1 MTT theory board on the internet. The controls are in place only to make sure that this evolution takes place.

Evg,

I chalk it up to the generation gap, but can you please state what exactly what you want to say clearly for us older folk?

Including reasoning is good too, you are smart and should share that more than you currently do.

Thanks,
Woodguy

heh,

i was just saying that I thought the MTT forum (even with its faults) was pretty unparalleled compared to the other forums online.

it'd be like making an improvement to the statue of liberty and doing it in the hopes of making it the best national landmark within 50 miles of staten island

I agree, but do not be afraid to improve upon a success.

I've never seen the Statue of Liberty in person but I think that comparison is a bit of a stretch. i.e. "FRIST HAND IN WSOP YOU HAVE AA CALL 5 ALLIN?!?!??!!", "I HAVE AK AND THE BIG STACK AT THE TABLE, FOLD PREFLOP ON 1ST PAY BUBBLE??!?!!"

Etc.

I'm in favor of the split, I just thought Justin's comment was kinda funny.

And I'm guessing you also have never been to P5s either. I used the Statue of Liberty example not because this forum is so awesome, but to define the gap between this and next best.

Evg,
I agree MTTs is not nearly as bad. However, this will become a different version of it. With less clutter. Which should help us retain our most valuable posters.

retaining the same posters while not allowing new ones will only cause the population to go down over time

I just heard about the split, and I think it's pretty neat I'll definitely become more active again with this.
