Now it really makes sense. If you aren't american, you just found out about poker 5 years ago and you certainly don't know anything other than PLO or NLHE. [/ QUOTE ] You're not helping yourself. |

I would probably lose so much money if Stars started offering wild card games. They should start a 'Home Game' section where every table is dealer choice between like 20 different crazy games. I'd seriously go broke just fooling around there.
Also why are people in this thread so damn bitter? |

A certain poster is trying to relegate it to that status and is very wrong. There is at least one player in the poker hall of fame because he's considered to be the best KCL player in history. |

The point is that KCL is nothing like a silly home game wild card game. [/ QUOTE ] You're right, it differs because it was once in played in casinos. Beyond that, the differences are lost on me. I'll buy that it was once considered a leading candidate for the main event of the WSOP. People will always want to play the game they are most familiar with and if it was very common at the time (as you stated) then that explains it. Some people don't like learning new games and want to keep playing their favorite and/or best one. Some people will even get angry when others don't want to play, and will go off on verbal tirades. Sound familiar? Take a deep breath, relax, and adapt to changing times and new games. Your anger will only hurt you. |

Those of us who play non-holdem games perhaps get a little annoyed at being patronized by people who only play holdem when we suggest we'd like to play something else.
