Is Party doing their best to stop this sort of thing?

I'm only half way through this thread while I multi-table 3 SNGs on one Party account. I now play SNGs because it's fun and I'm doing OK. I'd just read one of ZJ's strategy essays and got a lot out of it. But I'm disgusted to see that cheating may even be rampant in the SNGs (but probably not at the level I currently play)

If ZJ was using all these accounts on one IP address, why didn't Party find about this sooner with their own "safeguards" and put a stop to it?

Apologize if this is just a dumb question or answered elsewhere but this is a long thread.

Rick,

I think that's the most disappointing thing about this whole situation.
Like others have said, you'd have to be pretty naive to think that multi-playering was not going on, but to have 6 freaking players on one IP address and the site not catching it immediately and stopping it makes me think that all of the security measures that they say are in place may not be.

The 'good day' sign off was a thinly veiled attempt at making yourself seem cultured or articulate. On both counts it failed by the way.

Let's get back to the real subject in hand. We're all part of the world known as the poker playing community. In order for it to thrive and not go back to the days / nights of the grinders or crooks skinning us 9 to 5'ers we need to protect the integrity of the game.

Thanks for replying. I finally had to figure out how to use the Google Toolbar "search on page" tool to find my post in threaded mode and see if there were any responses. Sorry to see you get hit on a bit.

I'm not naive but I wouldn't have known it's "easy to mask ones IP" as someone mentioned below you in the thread. That said, I won't stop playing but my ambitions in SNGs probably won't go much beyond the $77 level.

Anyway, this is all very depressing. Days like this really make me wonder about the life I've chosen.
