I'm not trying to be a naysayer or a wet blanket, I just want to point something out about this.

If you include non-2+2 books on this reading list, you're going to get blowback from Mason. The point in the past is that he doesn't want 2+2 to appear to be condoning information in books from other publishers. His position has been that the stickies and FAQs here represent "official" 2+2 positions, and he doesn't want to vouch for books from other publishers.

From his perspective, it makes sense. From the perspective of a "community" it doesn't. However, he owns this community, like it or not.

Again, I don't mean to be a naysayer, I'm just giving you my experience with this. Perhaps his position has changed.
