All,

This is an over looked factor. Even if ZJ was paying taxes on all of these winnings, its possible that he has been paying them in 6 different names, which would make his taxes signifcantly less then they should be because of the escalating tax rate.

[ QUOTE ]

The people who are arguing that entering twice is by itself unethical are distracting from the issue. The ethics part of this debate is that one person can not fairly have two seats at one table.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is ridiculous. A buy in has different value to different players depending on their level of skill. If a fish buys in to 100 dollar tourney. His buy in is worth much less. When ZJ buys in, his buy-in is worth significantly more. With every extra ZJ buying in, the fish's tourney value decreases, and ZJ's increases. This is black and white, clear as day, cheating. Every extra ZJ in a tourney devalues the buy in of every other player. This is basically stealing money from everyone in the tourney.

It isnt meaningless.

I want to ZJ to tell me how me played KQs UTG, when he had AA on the button.

[/ QUOTE ]

KQs UTG? Fold. *Especially with such a tough tourny pro on the button*

[/ QUOTE ]

FYP... yeah that's it...

that's easy-- make a pot-committing raise with KQs, be forced to call the all-in of AA, and.... new chip leader!!!

Why didn't you just sit out when you were placed on the same table? You opened a bunch of SNG's to negate your advantage? Let me ask you this, UTG you get KQs and on the Button you have AA. How did you play these cards?

[/ QUOTE ] He was saying that as there were so many screens open, he couldn't tell that the KQs and the AA were in the same $100,000 tournament, on the same table.

[/ QUOTE ]

I suck at sarcasm. Was that really what the point of the "open more tournaments" thing was? He would confuse himself?

When I opened up 2+2 this afternoon, I was SHOCKED to see this thread at the top. I am completely stunned that ZJ was doing this. Looking back, I realize I was naive in thinking that no one did this, and everyone played fair and by the rules, keeping the integrity of the game at a high level.

Well, I was wrong...

I'm one of those "18 year old kids" that looked up to ZJ. His blog is bookmarked in my web browser. I read his trip reports and updates and if I was bored, I would go and check and see if he was playing on Stars, just so I could watch a "good" player play.

I always had some far-fetched goal that if I would ever be fortunate enough to qualify for a major event (through some sort of online satellite) that I would get to meet ZJ at some point in the future. I respected him as a player, and he seemed like a good guy.

I now feel extremely stupid about ever having 'looked up' to him.

Thanks Justin for wasting my time and admiration...

George Brett did not use a corked bat. He had pine tar (an adhesive used on bat handles) too far up the bat, which gave him NO ADVANTAGE.

I've deleted the offending post. I was five at the time. My apoligies to Mr. Brett and his fans.

I also looked up to ZJ in the past when I was young and naive.

Words to the wise:

-Look into the accounts of all ZJ apologists.

-Look into the accounts of al of ZJ's crew/network.

-Look into the accounts of ANYONE who has finished in the top ten of any big Party Toureny or is on their tourney leaderboard.

-I imagine there are a huge line of withdrawals right now. So Hurry Up!

[/ QUOTE ]

This would require

1. PP to invest alot of money = $- profits
Wrong - they already have people on staff to do this.
2. PP kicking out alot of players who generate alot of rake = $- profits

[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong- the increased publicity of them getting rid of cheaters = many new players.
