Stuff like this happens too fast and there are too many variables to know exactly how one would react. I wouldn't want to kill somebody. If the opportunity presented itself to take a robber down, though, my reaction would depend a lot on the combination of anger, fear, and adrenaline running through me at the time.

It would depend on if my wife and/or young son were with me and were also threatened.

If they aren't with me, I probably just hand over the cash. a few bucks aren't worth another life.

But if the wife or kid are in danger, I'll get all Samuel Jackson in Pulp Fiction on your ass.

...and I will strike down upon thee with furious anger...

If he's asking for money, I'm giving it to him. If he takes my money and then says he's going to kill me, I'm tearing his throat out with my teeth if I have to.
