Over last 2 years Wynn and "V" tried to get mid-high limit games going. They effort was on a bit higher level then "I'll see if I can get enough people to bug them to spread 100/200 there instead..." and they failed anyway. Do you see why? Your retarded 4-8 game will alsways be good no matter where you play however if you play higher you need fish and fish is at the B.

What about the huge number of players at the medium stakes that have now been told that the Bellagio is total ass and go play elsewhere?

[/ QUOTE ]
Great!!! You go play there and i'll stay with fish here!!!

It's amazing that you're still not getting the point. The point isn't that the 100/200 game is good, and the only game in town. The point is that the Bellagio is ruining it's reputation with the rest of the players with it's actions. If they don't want to run a 4/8, its ok to not run it. But if they do run it, and run it very poorly, they are hurting their reputation among poker players as a whole, whether they be 4/8 or 40/80 or 100/200, and this is not a good long term business strategy.

Why is there no interest or demand for these more mid-limit (5/10,6/12,8/16,10/20) games in Vegas?

[/ QUOTE ]

Limit is dead in Vegas, the consumers want to play NL now until you get to the high level games.

I think I just lost a lot of being-on-the-floors'-good-side equity.

Suzie's been working a small amount of tourneys all this time - Tunica, the 5-Diamond, Mandalay, and Aruba, I believe. She was in the room these past couple weeks because... of the tourney. She never moved to Ireland, that was a goofy olivert thing.

Whether or not Suzie is staying beyond the tourney, well, if there's more to it, then I dunno... the "B will get rid of low-limit" rumor is garbage, they're not going to get rid of easy money. This town is the land of rumors that never go through... I'm still waiting for that poker room in NYNY, for one.

One thing I did hear is that they are planning to expand out onto the casino floor (possibly taking over as much as the whole area of slots near the room, from Light/Snacks/Fixx to the O theatre) for the WSOP. How many extra tables can fit out there in that space, I dunno. But with the Bellagio Cup being made a WPT event and the ton of action in town and the ton of empty tables at the V, the B is potentially looking to keep all the big action in one place and avoid having the overflow scatter.

Do you really think i care what 4-8 players are saying when the only 100-200 game in town is at the B? Please understand that while B runs those 4-8 and 8-16 games they really do not need them and they need local low limit nits even less.

[/ QUOTE ]

Fine. Let them shut them down and fill up the place with 100-200 games instead.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ha! They can't keep the room full with the games they have. It's not like it was two years ago when it was packed every weekend. I've been there on busy weekends lately and found several empty tables. Throw out the lowlife low-limits, and it's on it's way to becoming the Mirage.

Olivert? What does he have to do with this?

I heard Suzie moved there with Howard. Howard moved there for business reasons of course. i could have heard wrong, or she could be traveling a lot between the countries - I don't know.

I wish I remember the name of the dealer who told us Suzie is now back full time, I see her face but i don't remember her name. She used to deal at the Mirage, been dealing for over 20 years, has a perma-frown.

A rumor was spreading the other day in Bally's that Bellagio was going to drop their low limit stuff. No more 4/8, probably no 8/16, and no NL2/5. They would have NL5/10 and 15/30 as their entry level games.

[/ QUOTE ]

WOW... was this rumor from a reliable source? Looks like Suzie is shaking the tree in a huge way.

[/ QUOTE ]

This would be sooo awesome.. The 5/10 and 10/20NL games would be fantastic...

I first read the "Lederers move to Ireland" thing in one of those olivert macro-posts, hence, mentioning him, but he's not important here, anyway...

Linda, I presume. Glasses, hair is a mixed bag of dark and blond streaks. Has a website I've lost the address to.
