so, i've already seen a post on seeing this, but i've been wondering for a while, and want to see what people who play in bigger places (la, lv, ac, etc) have to say.
have there been a lot of players been asking to run it twice and things like that at 1/2 nl at the luxor for example? i guess this may have been going on for a while at very high stakes, but just curious how many n00bs are trying to incorporate it into there games thanks to GSN. any noticeable changes? surely someone's seen something ridiculous along these lines by now. ***please direct any comments regarding EV and such to one of the 100 other threads about this |

Nothing you saw including running it twice is new to higher stake games. When pots get really big, this is a common occurence.

The only game I have ever been in where people wanted to run it twice was a $5/10 blind PLO game and that was sometime ago
I have noticed people are starting to play props in some of the mid/low ($8/16,$15/30) limit hold'em games I play in. That may be as a result of Negreanu's blog as well. |

I think he means it is now showing up in smaller games because of the show "high stakes poker"

in local 5/10NL games I play, it's not uncommon to run the river 3 times when pot is over 2K
WTF would you run it twice for? |

Some like two, others three. Usually depends on hands. I've seen it be asked for a few times at lower stake games only to have the dealer say it isn't allowed and the floor agreeing. It would be bad for business to change this rule if lots of people are asking for it.

I was playing 3 months ago and saw this, but it was at something like 3/6 limit with some serious betting going on since it was heads up on the turn.
Slight hijack: when you do run it twice or 3 times or however many. Is it suppose to show the first board, collect the cards shuffle and do it again? OR run 1st board, then immediately run 2nd..... etc. |

It depends on when you agree to run it. If you run it before the hand, you deal the flop, turn, and river all normal and push the cards up and do a whole new flop, turn, and river. If it is just the turn and river you do the same thing. The cards from one run cannot be repeated basicly.
