this post is contradictory. first you say that no way a worse hand calls and then you say he would be getting 3-1 on his money, implying who in their right mind wouldn't look you up. so, what exactly are you trying to say here?

according to your statement, if he is getting such good odds to call with a wide range of hands, then why cant our hand now beat some of those hands?

just to add - depending on much your play has widened/tightened his range in such a spot (3-1 odds) I might be more inclined to make a play on the turn rather then the river. That seems where you can get value out your hand or atleast not get it all in if you dont want to.

It depends on how competent are villain is. Would he really fire QQ/JJ on the turn? Wouldn't it be a value bet? Why would you flat call 2 streets with an A in your hand unless you had exactly AA/AK? If he is good enough to peg you on an accurate range, I think he calls with QQ. Maybe not JJ though.
