Wow. From the way it looked like his hand was swelling up on TV yesterday, I thought he was on his way to the DL for sure. Still, though....let's put DW in the 2-spot while PLD "recovers".

You know, the Mets may actually have a chance to win this game. I have a strong feeling the Mets will string all 3 of their bloop singles vs Willis to score 1 run. If John Maine can hold Willis to just 1 homerun and shutout the rest of the team we can win 2-1 in 10, When D Wright homers and extends his hit streak, boo ya.

Except it will take a bloop single and 2 errors, but your on the money. I think the most difficult part of this scenario is keeping Willis to 1 homerun.

But, the strangest thing about us joking about this is there is a good chance that Willis shut outs the Mets and hits a homerun, that is what is so sick about this. Mets shoulda just traded for him so they didn't have to face him. Milledge, Pelfrey, and Humber for Willis.

Mets bomb the ace, then get shut down by the rook tomorrow. SOP the last few years.

Also, Willie was just on with Mike and Dog, and said LoDuca should be ready to go tonight.

I heard that. They ask Willie who his favorite Met was growing up and Willie says "Ken Boswell". Big fatso says oh so authoritatively "couldn't field a lick but he sure could hit". LOLZA. Ken Boswell couldn't hit his way out of a lunchbag. The guy hit .211 in '72 for Christ's sake.
