What Movies Have You Watched Recently?

I finally saw the Maltese Falcon for the first time! (as part of the 'upgrade challenge').

Great movie, can see why it's a classic, but I found it a little overrated. Bogart was terrific though, and his Sam Spade is one of the coolest film characters ever.

I did enjoy it a lot though, even though the plot was either so incomprehensible it was impossible to follow, or so trivial there really wasn't any plot...not sure which.


I think this is probably the best Bogart performance I've seen, better even than Casablanca and The African Queen.

See him in In a Lonely Place. I loved his performance there.

Maltese Falcon is a great one. Prime noir themes, especially his turning away the woman at the end.
