OP: Many of today's upper class are the children and grandchildren of people who exploited war and strife. You'd be in good company.

As far as trading goes, provided you're not gaining unfair advantages, and everyone has access to the same opportunities you do, then you're doing nothing wrong. In fact, you're acting to stabilize the market that the idiots and risk averse are destabilizing.
