I have a bankroll for 100NL, but I wanna make sure I beat 50NL for a decent rate before taking another shot.

I was 8-tabling full tilt to clear the recent bonus there. I went back to UB and really struggled 6-tabling the same level. The software is sooooo much quicker. And I play micros because I can't beat the higher stakes yet.

I play micros because it keeps me sharp for live play. Im not a serious internet player. (300 hands a day at best.)
This is nothing new but me playing 25nl online can be tougher than 2-5 games i sit down at in AC. Also i think i would get crushed at anything higher than 50nl , even if i had the roll. |

I used to freak out when playing 2 tables of nl, now i can comfortably play 5. It just takes some getting used to.

Because in my previous two attempts to move up, poker has told me that I suck at 100NL.
And I'm still rebuilding from that last attempt and some cash outs. Well actually, I think I'm good enough to beat those games, and I got thrown down back into the pits due to variance, but ain't that what we all want to believe? |

If you are not playing your A game at all times, its best to stick w/lower stakes. One mistake at 100nl and your stack it gone...
You can make a mental error at 10nl, 25nl, 50nl and it will not destroy your BR. Guess it depends upon how confident you are with your game. The people that play optimal at all times should have no problems moving up. |

You have to master the micro games before you can beat the higher limits. It's a learning process and the people who skip a step are the ones we take moneys from.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] And on a side note, 8 tabling 50NL is still an hourly rate of 50$, which is more than most jobs pay [/ QUOTE ] What is your earn rate in PTBB to be making $50 an hour at 50NL even 8 tabling. It's gotta be almost 10 doesn't it? [/ QUOTE ] 50$ is just a random number I threw out, but let us assume 5ptbb/100 that is the same as 5$/100, so with eight tables you are nearing 800 hands/hr or nearing 40$/hr Which is nice enough ... 7ptbb/100 seems to get close to 50$ [/ QUOTE ] I don't think you'll play 100 hands an hour at each table: 75 seems more realistic and perhaps still a bit high don't you think. Are you playing 8 high speed tables? |

I have 100 buyins for 100nl. i don't know wtf i'm doing wrong, but whatever. 50nl is here to stay for a while.
people 3 bet a [censored]-ton more at 100nl, don't fold to ur 3bets pre as often, float ur flops more and in general the pond has more sharks than fish. at 50nl people consistently fold to ur 3bets pre and fold to ur turn bets after floating flops. the new trend now, however, is with these new loose-passive euro donks that i CANNOT BEAT. i have to change my game b4 i lose another 10 buyins. |
