EPT seems a lot better than the WPT

not sure if you're referring to prizepool or structure, IIRC the Monte Carlo Event is the EPTs version of the WPTs Championship 25K event at Bellegio - i.e. larger buy in than typical EPT stops and larger starting stacks

EPT in 2007 is similar to what WPT and WSOP Circuit was in 2005: at the peak of popularity as TV products.

TV poker, like entertainment TV products, do reach maturity, and do so rather quickly.

What that said, I am very impressed with that the EPT has done in Monte Carlo. The "spaceship" look of the the convention hall where the EPT 3 Grand Final took place was surreal.

Yes, the place looked amazing.

And wasn't it nice to see a final table where the players can actually play poker (no turbo blinds). I don't know if they'd even be interested but I sure wish whatever entity is running the EPT could take over the WPT's duties when WPTE finally fizzles out.
