Youd have to be super ugly already for that to be a worthwile investment.

I feel bad complaining about winning only $600 today but I lost two 2 outers within the space of an hour, one for a 400BB pot. Should have been a $1500 day, but they just couldnt miss if I got it in as a 95% fav....

I made 17 buyins at $1/2 NL today so it was a good day to say the least. Hopefully April treats me good.

In other news I have 166k VPPs on my quest for Supernova elite so I have some major playing to do. I wanted to be around 250k by now so I may have to have no life the rest of April and May before work gets busy when Im out of school.

I was considering getting plastic surgery.

Namely dermabrasion, jaw implants to make my jaw more prominant, botox under my eyes to get rid of the blue/gray area and some filler in my cheeks.

What's ssnl's opinion on this?

[/ QUOTE ]

NO

only get surgery if you have some extreme thing on your face that makes you look hideous. i saw you in that one pic w the 2 japanese girls, you look normal/prob behind a computer too much (im also a member of this club).

your thoughts of doing this relate directly to your chances of getting a chick i think, and imo any surgical work will change some things and start attracting some chicks you may not be attracted too, and you'll become increasingly self-conscious.

like, me being a nerd, i am naturally going to be attracted to a nerdish girl more (but no fatties yo). be turning into someone more attractive and less nerdy may evoke attraction from some 9's, but those kind of girls don't do it for me. i see you in a similar vein.

i mean, just my opinion, if you feel like this will make a significant change in your life and you have friends who have done similar things with great effects, and you have the money, then by all means.

One thing I've been thinking about a lot lately is how we derive our perceptions of players... When I hear that FGators had a 77 buyin downswing, I snicker and write him off as terrible without any other knowlede... Then months later, I assume he is still as bad as I thought he was, but I've definitely come to realize this isn't true.

FGators isn't my most feared opponent really, but he's certainly not a clueless idiot, and he definitely couldn't ever have a 77 buyin downswing.

Also, I've only played a few hundred hands with dontbother, and in those hands I was convinced he was just an idiot lagtard or something. I guess this has to be wrong, but I still can't quite drop the image I have in my head!

Obviously when someone is 85/70 over 60 hands, you have a pretty good idea that he's a complete maniac idiot, but when you have 200 hands on someone, your stats don't mean anything, and really, longterm stats have no real relation to how someone is actually playing currently. Make plays based on extensive knowledge of how people have played against you. Not based on stats that don't mean [censored].

gators has gotten a lot better simply by not being so stubborn anymore and removing the blinders that had him playing a blackjack version of poker. but more importantly, he's used that stubborness and applied it positively into being incredibly driven, and not being stubborn for the sake of assuming everyone else is wrong when gators keeps losing and wonders why.

dontbohter IS a lagtard, but he had past experience at high stakes and he was able to make do thanks to excellent handreading. he also would play sessions that would never end.

that last paragraph is the smartest thing i've ever seen you post wrschultz. it took me like 12 months to realize the same thing.

I guess you already know that no one here will encourage you to do it, so maybe you are seeking for some confirmation here why you should not do it?

From your earlier posts here, I can imagine your thought processes that lead to your consideration, but I strongly disencourage it. I had those thoughts as well when I was in puberty. You are feeling more insecure about yourself than you should be. I am way less good looking than you, but, eventually, I also found that special nice, pretty, intelligent girl that I live together with now - but I had to turn 23 before I met her. You're still so young! So just be patient, plastic surgery is not changing anything. Except that you might look into the mirror then and think "that is not me anymore" which could get you depressed.

Anyone fancy doing an SSNL donkament challenge tonight? Play all the big ones on Stars/FTP/Party, make some kind of points system, highest points scorer gets paid $X from everyone else. If only a few people playing, maybe take a 10% group split aswell. Or something. PM if interested. [email protected] on MSN or skegvegaspok on AIM.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, people should have got involved. +$15000 for that little donkament session. Poker is e............z!
