It has been very entertaining indeed. Not a big deal, but I thought I'd point out another Norm Chad error. He said Hoyt beat Phil heads-up for the WPT title. Phil went out third, and Hoyt beat Ibrahim heads up.

Another time they gave a guy a checkmark for the best hand on the turn - but the other guy all-in had a one out straight flush draw.

(Chan I think, with his 88, against a higher pair.)

They both had a flush, the other guy w/a higher flush.

It was KK v 88, both with a heart. The board was QhJhTh with another low heart, so the 9 of hearts gave both the Kh and 8h a straight flush, and obviously the Kh has the winning straight flush in that instance. Therefore 88 had no outs after the turn.

You obviously didn't read my final TV listing post, before you made your first statement.

Default Dannenman- weak-tight with the AQ fold?

I forget the exact scenario, but I think Steve D limped behind Phil with AQo, after Phil open-raised and then folded to the Mouth's smallish reraise.

If you weren't going to call that size reraise fror Mr Gamble, why did you limp rather than raise in the first place, Mr D?

Actually the 9h would have completed both of their straight flush draws/

Oh was that it? Thanks man. (I was doing like 5 things when it aired and was alittle distracted.)

That would've been a sick river card!

Pretty you've got it wrong.

I think it was like this:

Phil raised 4x blind with 10Js. Steve cold-called behind w/ AQo. Mouth raised in the blind w/K10. (don't remember the amount)

Phil folds 'cuz hes worried about Steve.
Steve wimps and folds.

A wimp fold - but not an awful fold. You have to hammer it or fold IMO. So not too bad a of a play.

He gave the mouth credit for a pretty legit hand since Mike was re-raising OOP against a tight raiser and a tight caller.

"Yeah, well I come from the 9-time world champion school of poker."

Matusow owned: Game Over

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, 9 bracelets only equals 9 "world championships" in Hellmuth's fevered brain, and while this may be totally results-oriented, I'd say Hellmuth was the one who got owned in this tournament. Matusow's comment about Hellmuth's style being out-dated was pretty spot-on as well. Doyle Brunson has adapted to changing times and styles better then Hellmuth has.

Look at the way Phil was whining after it was over. "They didn't play right!" If you can't adapt to someone else's style to beat them Phil, then you got out-played.

Best televised final table I've seen.

Matusow whines as much as Hellmuth and just doesn't get called on it. How many times have we heard "I never win a coin flip!" How many times have we heard "One time! Just one time!"

Both parts are why I didn't like the play.

Why limp behind Phil and invite others in? And Mike M has been known to push a hand or two, especially when Phil is involved. With Mike behind you, you have to consider your actions based on Mike's possible moves BEFORE you decide to limp in early position.

I didn't like it, and not just because Steve's hand was best.
