Cool - I'm in Vancouver so I can sign up for Coast Capital too. Now do you have a US$ bank (credit union) account at Coast Capital?
Wow, if you could link a US$ account in Canada and transfer US$ to MB and the like that would be gold. Please do let us know how it goes. I'm all excited now as there is a coast capital 3 blocks from where I work! [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] As for linking up the bank - I'm not sure if it constitutes a wire transfer, if so, TD charges $30-$80 per wire transfer according to their webapage - which seems like a large amount unless you're got a fair sized roll. [/ QUOTE ] This wouldn't surprise me. However, I've just finished picking myself off the floor after my phone conversation with my credit union (Coast Capital). I carefully explained that I wanted to transfer less than $100 to a bank in Germany. She said the fee would be...wait for it...wait for it...NOTHING! Now, we'll see what they say tomorrow when I show up in my branch with my banking info...hopefully the same thing. [/ QUOTE ] |

Once I start the money flowing back and forth, I shouldn't be needing to deposit, so I'm not really concerned. I had my Canadian $ account linked to NT, never used it. I'll likely keep using Party for withdrawals like I have in the past. I'll advise how it goes tomorrow. Just so you know, good CU...I pay NO FEES for anything. No minimum balance required for that...you've probably seen their ads on TV here. |

A little update...STILL waiting on my MB deposits to Party & UB. I've phined MB, they say everything's fine on their end, so I've emailed Party & UB. There's actually another thread on this in this forum, because someone else has MB deposits to the same two sites stuck, although I think his are a little more significant...mine are only $10 deposits to establish a new funding method. He finally got his Party deposit, and is still waiting on UB.
I was successful yesterday with Everest, and withdrew $20 right away to see how fees worked. Everest emailed me today, they've locked my account lol. I assume my immediate withdrawal (for a big $20) didn't go over well. I've responded, we'll see what happens. Anyway, I'm not real concerned about these events...well, I'm a little bothered about these deposits taking so long. It's my understanding that this is NOT normal practice, so hopefully there's just some strange temporary glitch. Off to my bank shortly to try a transfer to MB to get my limits increased. Will report back. |

Bobo,
How did you pay long distance to phone their +44 number? I find it really difficult to contact them otherwise as they don't even put a support email up (do you know of one?) Thanks [ QUOTE ] A little update...STILL waiting on my MB deposits to Party & UB. I've phined MB, they say everything's fine on their end, [/ QUOTE ] |

Thanks [/ QUOTE ] Not quit clear on what you mean about how I paid long distance...I imagine it'll be on my phone bill. I assume you must mean how did I dial it...I think I dialed 011 first, I believe that's what you do for International. No, I haven't found an email address, but I have sent them a message and received a reply after a couple of days. If you found the phone number, you're probably on the contact page. Choose the messaging center, then choose one of the tabs that correspond to the topic you want to know about. You'll get a list of questions you might want to ask, and there should be an "other" at the bottom of this list. Choose this, you'll get a form you can fill out to send them an email. |

I imagine I did, yes. I wasn't on hold for more than a couple of minutes, though...I would've hung up if they kept me waiting too long. Good option if you really want an answer right away. They're not 24 hours, though, so you need to be calling early in the morning...only open UK business hours. As to the messaging center, like I said, it took a couple of days, unfortunately. Edit to add: Just checked the email they sent me, and it's from one of those "noreply" addresses. They ask me to go back on the messaging center if I have any further questions...damn! |

My latest MB update.
First, the bad news. Nothing new on my Party or UB depsoits, or my Everest lock. Grrrrrr. Standard in this industry, though, for CS to take forever...unless you're dealing with one of the few gems like Stars, Stan James, Nordicbet...I'm sure there are a few others. Now to the good news. Just went to my bank (Credit Union, actually - Coast Capital) in regards to the transfer. Yes they can do it, no there is no fee for a transfer <$100. $15 for $100-$999, $25 for $1,000+. Takes up to 7 days to get there. Unfortunately I couldn't do it while I was there, as all of the routing numbers weren't enough...they also require the addresses of both MB and the German bank...sigh. Some more good news. There is some awkward wording on their limits page that seemed to imply that even though they call it an "outgoing transaction limit", the limits might apply to transfers both ways. Not so, according to the email they sent me. The limit applies to any money leaving your MB account...either sent to a merchant, or withdrawn to your bank account, cheque, etc. In other words, if you transfer $5,000 to poker sites, and $5,000 back to your MB account, that only counts as $5,000 against your limit, not $10,000. |

Bobo,
Great work and thanks for taking the time to post updates. I went to my bank today and got a new Visa Card and a new paperless/no fee (almost) Bank Account (CAD) exclusively to setup a new online withdrawl option to replace NeTeller. Your posts regarding MoneyBookers are greatly appreciated. S0meGuy |
