Okay, you got your money in a hackable account with some half-shady offshore operation, and you can't transfer the funds hackable electronically to a real shady e-wallet company into their hackable account anymore.

So now you are worried about the safety of checks?

Are there protections to keep someone from making off with my $$$?

Well, the check will be mailed to you, so someone would have to intercept your mail. The check would be made out to you, so to cash it someone would have to have ID with your name on it.

Have you ever seen or used a check before? If this is a new concept check these threads out:

What happens if the check is lost in the mail or something? Will the poker sites put a stop on the check, mail me a new one, etc?

Something about money going through the U.S. postal system makes me uneasy.

Yes. I have the worst mailman in the world, so I've had to do it twice in the last month. No big deal (unless it's UB, because they charge $35 per check cancellation. Lame.)

Ugh i gotta do this too but full tilt wants me to send them my driver's license and all that stuff.

I sent them an email asking them what exactly they need because IIRC i can black out my driver's license number, etc. - is this correct? I would like to have the minimum amount of personal information transmitted electronically to gosh knows where.
