Default Re: PartyPoker.com Acceler-8-tor Promotion Info

I sent them an email earlier today asking about the popup. I got the following response.

My target was 1345 (I think - off the top of my head), so this is consistent with the 25% reduction.

--------------------------------------------------

In response to your email we wish to advise that unfortunately, the pop up regarding the VIP promotion and the information in the "My Account" section of the website has been temporarily disabled. However, our technical team is working on resolving the matter and this should be rectified in the next 24/48 hours.

As a special concession to our VIP player, to compensate for time lost at our tables during our recent upgrade, we have reduced the points target total for Week 2.

You target for Wednesday 15th February 00:00 EST to Tuesday 21st February 23:59 EST is as follows:

Earn 1090 Player Club Regular Points and we will credit a bonus of $130 to your real money account on Thursday 23rd February.

We will also credit you with the additional $10 if you achieve your target for a second week. 10% extra points, based on 1090, will get you 10% extra bonus.

It's not necessarily the "being an ass" (sometimes we deserve it) that keeps us from posting here, it's more the quantity than the quality.
We would love more than anything to answer each and every question, but when the threads become unbearable, and the questions continuously repeated, its impossible to wade through it all.
All of us have a job to do, and we are working hard to improve things. We realize that there are areas of concern and things me must improve. We wont get those done if we are reading 2+2 all day!
I can assure that if an issue is raised here we see it and evaluate it. We wont always respond, but if its something that should be addressed it will be.

And to answer the question about the pop-up; the new pop-ups have not gone out yet, but should tonight. If you don’t see yours feel free to write to [email protected] to find out your new target.

I'm not sure if you are able to assist me but I have an issue that I am getting no response to that deals with the prize I received for the winter scratchoff promotion. I won a 9" Phillips portable DVD player but I actually received a Toshiba DVD player that is the kind you plug in to your tv which is obviously not portable. I've sent several e-mails to Daniel Wexler and have not received a reply. One other poster at 2+2 receieved an e-mail stating that the prize received is what was promised. I disagree. A portable DVD player is much different from what was sent. Please respond and let me know what Party Poker is doing in regards to this issue.

Yay I still get the blank screen.

Welcome to Partypoker.com

Dear XYZ

(Since this is still blank, you should be very confident that our software is still as bad as usual. We don't give a rat's ass about our customers and would rob you of your bankroll if we thought we could get away with it)

Did they lower the bonus amount by 25% as well?

This is what I'm curious about.

Is it JUST 25% fewer points for the SAME amount of bonus?

I'm still not sure whether that would make my bonus worth pursuing. But it would certainly make it closer.

thanks for participating 'partypoker' (Mike O'Malley or whoever is back there).

I had already suspected that the length of all those threads would be way to much to handle.
But it's good that you guys are making the effort to keep up with the discussions around here.

Looks like 25% fewer points for the same amount of bonus. Someone posted this email.

Dear XXXX,

Thank you for contacting us.

During the software upgrade, an error occurred with the party points
whilst they were being added to the account. Your points for the 15th
should show XXXX, and your points for the 16th should show XXXX. We have
escalated this issue to the appropriate department, and they are taking
steps to resolve it as soon as possible.

Everyone at Party Poker is working very hard to make this transition as
smooth as possible. We decided to go ahead with the upgrade during the
Acceler-8-tor promotion because we want our players to enjoy the many
cool features on the new PartyPoker.com platform as soon as possible.

As some players have experienced initial difficulties with new
software, we have decided to lower the points targets for week 2 of
Acceler-8-tor promotion by 25% for all players.

For example if your original promotion was $100 bonus for generating
1,000 regular Party Points, your new points target for week 2 of the
Acceler-8-tor promotion is now reduced to $100 bonus for generating 750
regular Party Points.

The reduced targets apply only to week 2 of Acceler-8-tor promotion.
In week three the targets will return to the original level ($100 for
generating 1,000 regular Party Points in the example above).

All other elements of the promotion will remain the same

Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site!

Why don't you guys hire somebody for 40k a year to answer the questions on this board? I'm sure you'd make it back in goodwill.

P.S. I'm available.

FYP.

I refuse to kiss the butts of people when I'm the customer. They are taking a piece of every bet I make. That's why it's bad CUSTOMER service, not bad CHARITY service, and why when they don't live up to their word or provide a bad product (that I, as a cash player, AM PAYING FOR), I am livid.
