Compared to other South Sound options, Muckleshoot sucks for lower limits IMHO. There are a few wild games (from crazy paigow players) , excellent comps, and some very nice Monte Carlo jackpots elsewheres.

[/ QUOTE ] If you need specific examples, PJ Pockets' 4/8 in Federal Way routinely gets pots over $300 and sometimes $400 and the Chips Casino recently payed out a $10,000 jackpot for a royal flush in a 3/6 game. (Reasonable food options at both as well) Rising Dragon Casino in Tacoma let my friend order food to go after playing in a 3/6 game after a tourney for about 20 minutes before it broke. The waiting list at Muckleshoot always seems to be ridiculously long as well, thus why I said it sucks for the low(est) limits for South Sound players. |

The games are a bit tamer at mucks, but actionwise, they're both moneymakers. I actually prefer the monte carlo JPs to badbeats. The waiting list actually can get to 1/2 hour. More on absolute busy nights. I've also heard that many smaller casinos are now dropping an extra $1(making that $2) into the JP drops. This is on top of the $3 rake + the $1 tip. Something to watch for. That's quite a bite. b |

When I said to go food, i meant complimentary. And I'll take the extra $1 rake loss when people are chasing any pocketpair postflop in the hopes of getting runner runner quads, etc. Action "tamer" at mucks? The Korean folks at PJs have to be some of the wildest in the world. Last Monday I saw a pot that got capped at least 3 ways on every street. 67s, K4s (both backdoored flushes) and Q7o (trips) were 3 of the hands involved. A regular lady calls out under her breath her holdings 60%+ of the time. I once sat with a welldressed gentleman there who in 7+ hours of play, (I swear) NEVER folded preflop and NEVER folded on the flop no matter how many bets it was back to him. With a solid bankroll and an average run of cards, the game has to be one of the best 4/8 games in the U.S. (It can't get much better is all)

Action "tamer" at mucks? [/ QUOTE ] You do know what 'tamer' means, right? Btw...Lots of the smaller rooms that spread that limit can get pretty wild. Not saying wild is a bad thing, but many can't handle that wild of a table. [ QUOTE ] And I'll take the extra $1 rake loss when people are chasing any pocketpair postflop in the hopes of getting runner runner quads, etc. [/ QUOTE ] Just so you know, $3 rake + $2 JP drop + $1 tip = $6. That's quite a bite on a 3-6/4-8 table even with the extra action for the JP players. That's almost like a $15 rake on a 10-20 game. b |

Tulalip Casino
Directions->Tulalip Tulalip is my favorite, but it's closer for me. They have a new (smoke free, enclosed) poker room. I've seen them spread as low as 2-4 and always 3-6. Games are very soft. Easy money is in the NL200 game, but the blind structure sucks (3-5). Very comfortable seating. Muckleshoot Casino Directions->Mucks Only been there a couple times. Good Entertainment. Good food. Both times I played 4-8 it was a nit-fest. A few old-timers who'd clearly been worn down by years of beats. Coaching ensued. Players tightened up. No fun. Small sample size though. Directions->Parkers Casino Parkers has 4-8, but if you're looking to step it up a bit, I've been told their 8-16 game plays like a 4-8. Huge pots. Bad play. 2 dollar chips makes for same betting as 4-8. Pretend they're $1 chips..... Seattle poker |

[/ QUOTE ] If you like "action" that's great, but like a lot of good low limit players I prefer an extremely loose but passive table. I'd MUCH rather have 7 in the hand for 1-2 bets on every street than 2-3 capping. |
