As others have said, just let your boss handle it. I wouldn't quit over this single occurance. I just hope it isn't going to become standard.

Out of curiousity, who is higher up on the boss chain, the general manager or your direct boss?

Quit your job so I can have it. I'd probably even do it for free.

this is a joke right?

you were done with your shift, and played a *free* round of golf, but are complaining because you weren't paid for it?

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree, this seems very nitty to me because you have it made. Who cares about 18 bucks when you just played a round of golf for free. I worked at a golf shop when I was a senior in high school and this type of thing wasnt allowed so consider yourself lucky if you have been getting it for 2 years now w/o any trouble.

Why can't you people get it through your heads that maintaining a proficient game is part of his job. He should not shrug off someone punching out his card because his job could be worse.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah and that doesnt mean he should be able to do it on the clock always either. Hell thats like me getting paid to stay after my scheduled time to balance my check book and pay my bills because I work at a bank.

It's baffling to me that you haven't been banned yet. Every post of yours is some derivative of the one above.

[/ QUOTE ]

?? no it isn't..

Yes it is. And usually you take a very bad post, and somehow make it even worse.

Except you balancing your checkbook has absolutely no effect on Customer Satisfaction.

I still can't believe how people aren't seeing this one.

No. It isn't. If the pros at my family's course couldn't tell me the best play from almost ANY part of the course immediately, they'd be finding a new job soon. Being a golf pro means being good at golf.

If I dont balance my account and I overdraw it all the time then I could lose my job. Do they pay me to do this? No. Is it required for my job? Yes.

Some posters obviously just can't wrap their heads around the idea that the OP is getting paid to play golf.

Golfing is a job for the OP. The fact that he may or may not be having fun while doing it is irrelevant.

Balancing a check book is not a skill that needs to be honed. It is in your best interest to keep you checkbook balanced. It is in the best interest of the golf course to have a competent and skilled pro to bring in revenue.

Jesus you can't be this dense.
