Edited to add;
I understand WHY OP is posting this here, however I don't like the tone of his post. I get the feeling he's deliberately trying to damage snowbanks name and that his main goal is not getting back his money but more of a sentiment 'if I go down, we both go down'.

Not my intention at all. After doing it in private, what other courses of action do you recommend? IMing people I don't know? IMing his friends to ask him for me who I dont know? IM his other students who I don't know?

What was my original post supposed to say? "SB ripped me off and wont give me a refund" Everyone would have laughted b/c he has 3k posts and I have 20. I had no choice but to present all the facts after dealing with him in private for quite a while.

All,

There is absolutely no reason to lock this thread, so quit asking. If you are sick of it (which is understandable), quit posting in it and it will disappear from Page 1 soon enough.

My 2-cent: I've never heard of a good buisness that does not refund its unhappy customers (within reason)

He didn't quit bc he was unhappy with the service, he quit bc he went busto. Try renegotiating a lease, a magazine subscription, an order to a manufacturer etc. half way through because your financial situation changed. If you made a commitment and paid up from then it ain't happening. Personally I would have given an 80% refund or w/e but I think it's easy to see why snow wouldn't, especially if he has been giving the guy tons of attention outside the official hours, something he likely would not have done without the commitment.

Having said that I still think it's shocking that he charged so much over the odds and imposed a draconian level of commitment but OP did walk into that with his eyes open.
