Can my Boss do this??

Like someone else suggested, if you had major plans that weekend, TALK to your boss and try to work something out, rather than ask OOT if you have some legal right to get out of it.

What I described above sucked.. sure, but it also afforded me some flexibility with my bosses when stuff like needing an extra day off came up. It's a give and take.

I wasn't trying to get legal precedence on my side. Just curious honestly. I haven't said anything yet cause he hasn't been in for like 4 days and cause if it's the 3rd weekend, no harm no foul, I don't want them to think im not a team player. It's still irritating though.
