Whale Rider --- When the girl is giving her speech at the school about how special her grandfather is and he didn't even show up...one of the most moving scenes I've ever seen.

am the only one that was pissed off at this movie. i mean, yah, i felt bad for the little girl, but mostly that kid just pissed me off, and hte whole movie was very anti climatic.

it just angered me how they were in a bad situation and didn't need to be, if only that kid wasn't such a little [censored].

I was going to mention Shadowlands, but my testosterone forbade it.

It's pretty tough to keep it together when Anthony Hopkins is weeping and weeping in the attic with the son.

Off topic: If I were Debra Winger, I'd hire a full-time oncologist to follow me around, because I would be damned worried I might have cancer-jinxed myself.
