I think the last movie I cried at was ET, when I saw it in a theater as a little kid. It's not because I'm too manly to cry or whatever, it's just that TV and movies don't get to me like that.

The ending of The Green Mile gets me a little lumpy sometimes.
Paul Edgecomb: On the day of my judgment, when I stand before God, and He asks me why did I kill one of his true miracles, what am I gonna say? That is was my job? My job? John Coffey: You tell God the Father it was a kindness you done. I know you hurtin' and worryin', I can feel it on you, but you oughta quit on it now. Because I want it over and done. I do. I'm tired, boss. Tired of bein' on the road, lonely as a sparrow in the rain. Tired of not ever having me a buddy to be with, or tell me where we's coming from or going to, or why. Mostly I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world everyday. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head all the time. Can you understand? |

shawshank [/ QUOTE ] Seen this come up a number of times in this thread. It gets me nearly every time too. What part is getting you guys? For me it's when Andy is playing the opera music in the office and Red is describing the beauty of it. Futurama- Jurassic Bark when the dog dies and Luck of the Fryrish when he realizes that his brother loved him the whole time Rudy got me the first time Braveheart at the end when he's being tortured Lord of the Rings: Return of the King got me when the riders of Rohan ride to what they know will be their deaths in the final battle Basically anything incredibly heroic like the above gets me damn close, LOTRROTK is the only one I can think of right now that actually pushed me over the edge. |

-snip- Lord of the Rings: Return of the King got me when the riders of Rohan ride to what they know will be their deaths in the final battle -snip- [/ QUOTE ] That whole series had a bunch of scenes made better because of the scoring, and that's definitely one of them. The "last march of the Ents" in TTT was great too, mainly because of the music. Shore gave that series what Williams gave Star Wars. |

There's a couple scenes from Band of Brothers that had me tear up. Notably, the scene when they find the concentration camp. Some of the fight scenes hit me pretty hard simply because they are so well done that for a brief moment i felt a touch of what it might have been like to be in battle.
Also, the scene in Black Hawk Down where the last sniper gets killed always hits me hard. Just something about his scream and facial expression after he gets shot and drops his pistol is really haunting. |

Other than that there have been lots of times my eyes have watered, especially in Band of Brothers. |
