Party,

Thanks for the "HIDE BLACKJACK" option. Is there also a "HIDE SIDEBET" option?

[/ QUOTE ]

Thanks to all for answering this.

Can't wait to get home and check this thing out!

(Though I still wish we could contact Party and tell them we don't even want our account to even have the ability to play Blackjack)

Say whatever you want about my self control I know at least two players who have left Party completely because they couldn't avoid tilt related blackjack episodes.

For me it's just when I drink

observed hand histories not being written to the hard drive...I believe removing this option will strike a nerve with many of your loyal customers.

This will benefit skilled players and harm the 8 tabling leeches who make the games tighter and less enjoyable for all.

[/ QUOTE ]Part of my skill/edge is being able to find tables w/ horrible players. Any good player knows that table selection is of upmost importance.

Party Poker:
Overall, I must say very well done. However, my only complaint is regarding observed hand histories not being written to the hard drive. Before you stated that hand histories were intended for only players at the table. I must say that there is certainly a positive correlation between players that import observed hand histories and also your best customers. I believe removing this option will strike a nerve with many of your loyal customers. It seems the only reason to do this was to prevent an edge to certain players and attempt to level the playing field. Please comment on any reasons Party Poker had regarding this issue.

Dear Party,

thank you for not allowing observers to see the hand histories anymore.

Signed,

PLEASE have an option to turn off the balance display on the main screen!!!

[/ QUOTE ]You can always just use tiltblocker.

Can someone tell me how to get rid of the sidebet thing?

And why are new threads constantly being made? This is just weird. (and cumbersome!)

And now the "pros" who play 30k hands a week or whatever will have a huge table selection advantage over people like me who play recreationally on the weekends and such. I used to be able to make up the difference by mining a few hours a day to give a comparable dataset to work with. Now I have to fly blind while the pros have stats on everyone. Thanks for screwing over the little guy Party!

Hey Mike, I appreciate why your making new threads but its becoming very difficult to figure out whats going on.

I'd be very gratefull if you (or another hapless volunteer) could put a short summary of current issues everytime you start one of these threads.

Thanks

Should this be impressive? Any long term winning player knows that table selection is huge. Nothing good is coming from the removal of observed hand histories. The players that do benefit from this likely don't even know the difference.

Dear Party,

Next time you do an upgrade, please make fewer changes. Whether they're good or not, you're grinding 2+2 to a halt by generating all this discussion.

P.S. I also would like to know how to get rid of the sidebet thing.

I still have to press action buttons multiple times before anything happens.

And I'd also love to see a "hide sidebet" feature, much like the "hide blackjack" feature.

For all those whining about the update-

Of course whenever something changes there will be problems that needs to be fixed and questions that needs to be answered. And of course it will take some time for the majority of players to get used to all the features. But I think in time the update will be much for the positive, I think the skin looks much better now and it's easier to find the games, the account page has a much better overview and there are plenty of good features such as table-resizing and more SnG's. The tournament chip/blind changes also seem positive, at least for those who don't want them to be crapshots.

So when all this buzz is over, the bugs and complaints are taken care of, I'm sure most of us would never think about going back to the old client.

Take a minute to think about that before throwing any more dirt directed at PartyPoker.
