Please explain to me why so many people seem to hate Dids

I think dids can come off like a self important ass in his posting. Sometimes it also seems as though he assumes those people who disagree with him are stupid. so I can understand why people dislike him, i have found myself disliking him on occasion but when having to deal with him directly as a mod he has always been very reasonable and made well thought out arguments and decisions.

I also think its pretty tacky to keep bringing up his weight. this is a forum of ideas and i don't see how that could possibly have any relevance.
